Just Good Friends

Just Good Friends   by Penny Hancock

I read Just Good Friends this week. It's a love story, appearing four characters, Stephany, Max, Carlo and Ruth. Stephany and Max were lovers. Carlo and Ruth were married.
Stephany and Max lived in London, and they decided to spend their holidays in Italy. Because Stepny and Carlo had been good friends, she asked him to lend his flat in Italy. Max had a doubt about their relationship. Also Ruth had a bad feeling to Stephany because Stephany was  more beautiful than her. Moreover, Ruth knew Carlo's mother liked Stephany, so she was afraid of his cheating. One day, they promised having dinner  together, but Max became ill and Ruth couldn't go to look after her children. Therefore there were just only Stephany and Carlo. They drove to beach and talked, and kissed. They decided to tell what happened. But Luigi, a waiter in a bar, knew what Stephany did.
After I finished reading it, I was nervous because this story was not happy end. I thought Ruth was the most poorest. She was hard to take care of two children and work to help their lives, but Carlo cheated her. She had no choices allowing him. He didn't tell her the truth finally. He was the worst husband. I hate him. I thought the relationship between man and woman cannot be a "just good friends".
