SUPERBIRD

SUPERBIRD by Brian Tomlinson

     This week I read SUPERBIRD. This book's genre is science fiction. A spaceship crashes on a strange planet and everyone on it dies---except one person. She is a main character in this book. She helps the people of the planet to build their own spaceship, and return home in it. It is written in an interview format. Mainly, Radio Announcer and Mary Mount talk about her trip. I wrote down three quotes and will discuss them. The first one is: "Don't shoot. It's Mary Mount. She's come back."(p.22). Mary came back her home with Superbird. Jim and Steve made her to drive Superbird. They threatened her and got out their guns. She was afraid but killed them by using the gas kills human on the Earth. The second one is: "Mary Mount left on Superbird 2 from here but is returning on a spaceship they built on the Earth."(p.27). Mary was received by the people from her home in this sean. People were shouting and smiling and taking photographs. She was able to come back at last. She was so happy. I like this sean. The third one is: "What's that noise?"(p.47). It is Mary's word. I believed both the people on the Earth and Mary's planet thanks to Mary's effort. But many black spaceships were in the sky when she got the interview.
     I want to recommend this book. It is short story but I felt it's long because its story was so interesting. This book is worth reading. I give this book 10 stars out of 10.
